Information delivery systems

Unlock the power of information from many sources and deliver it securely and economically to customers or staff in many locations.

Multibase designs, develops, delivers, hosts and manages information delivery systems. These systems retrieve valuable information of many kinds and deliver it through web pages and email over the Internet, in response to actions taken over a network by valid site managers, account managers and authorised users. The user interface is a standard web browser.

Our information delivery systems are built on database management and database application software, to provide managed and secure access to information. This information can be stored locally or remotely and can consist of any form of electronic document or image. Electronic documents may be constructed as a result of an application sending messages to information providers and formatting responses. The  information can be newly made available or can reside in legacy databases.

Deliver information from legacy systems

These customised multi-tiered transaction applications combine the principles of Internet delivery with client-server techniques to provide a mechanism for securely accessing data from legacy systems across the net.

In these applications users, via their browsers, may be 'connected' to a front-end server rather than directly to the legacy system. This server provides front-line security for any number of back-end servers. It takes complex requests, may break them into sub-transactions and drive other unseen server machines to produce a response. The response is delivered back to users via their standard HTML browsers.

Access with security

This is a perfect solution for the requirement to enable Internet read/write/processing  access to existing production systems by isolating them via secure process-to-process transactions.

The back-end servers are customised for any environment so that even systems that are not 'web friendly' may be accommodated as long as an API can be constructed to access the data.

Any web technology

Multibase has delivered such systems in its own Unix CL4 environment, in a J2EE evironment, and with Microsoft technology - in fact, in almost all modern web technologies.

Multibase’s toolmaking heritage typically means that we build these systems with our own and best-of-breed tools, all designed to make delivery easier. This reduces both delivery time and cost, and ongoing management effort and cost. At the same time, the scalability of our systems preserve the value of both your legacy investments and your new commitment.
